Fergie Prepares for FIFA World Cup Kick-off Celebration Concert in Fergie Iso Sandals

Saturday, June 12th, 2010

What I love about celebrities with their own clothing lines like Fergie is that the clothes that they wear are real easy to ID. I knew that when I saw these pictures of her with the rest of The Black Eyed Peas, I didn’t have to look farther than what else but the Fergie shoe brand.

Here’s Fergie at the Orlando Stadium in South Africa, where she and her bandmates in The Black Eyed Peas kicked off the 2010 FIFA World Cup with a special celebration concert on June 10:

What Fergie is wearing from her shoe line in these pictures is the Fergie Iso Sandals:

These are available on ShoeBuy.com for $68.95. Other colors are champagne, chestnut and a summery color, sierra gold.

I find the thong sandal and gladiator sandal mix in these sandals confusing, but I guess it eventually makes sense when you wear them. I mean, they look alright on Fergie. What do you think?

Knee-High Gladiator Boots – for Men

Thursday, May 6th, 2010

As if knee-high gladiator boots for women weren’t hard enough to pull off. Now we have knee-high gladiator boots for men:

The black and brown colors of the Funtasma Roman 16 men’s roman sandals

The Funtasma Roman 12 men’s roman sandals in black and brown

Funtasma Roman 15 men’s roman sandals in black and brown

Honestly, I can’t really see any straight guy seriously wearing these boots. Can you? They’re gorgeous to look at, sure, but can you say you know a straight guy who would add these gladiator boots as an actual part of his wardrobe and NOT as a costume?

I can see someone like Jon Kortajarena (a male model, dubbed by some as the male Gisele Bundchen) in these but only because he’s insanely hot to begin with. If not, I would guess a celeb like Pete Wentz would probably try to pull off men’s knee-high gladiator boots (“try” being the operative word), only because he has tried it with fur boots before.

I’m being unfair to Pete Wentz – just look at Jon Kortajarena!

Anyway, if any guy out there is willing to try these gladiator boots out, they’re just a little over $50 or under per pair. The Funtasma Roman 12 are $32.45, the Funtasma Roman 15 are $50.95, and the Funtasma Roman 16 are $39.95.

If you really want to challenge yourself, try the Ellie Max-120 men’s knee-high gladiator boots in gold:

All of these men’s knee-high gladiator boots are available at Shoebuy.com.

3 Gladiators Styles for Men Who Can’t Get Enough of Sandals

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

In line with last week’s post on 3 Gladiators for Men Who Don’t Like Wearing Sandals, here’s the list for the complete opposite: 3 gladiators for men who can’t seem to get enough of sandals.

Of course, for the man who loves sandals, one style is never enough. If you’ve already embraced sporty sandals, leather sandals, and slides, then why not take an extra step further and try out the gladiator sandal?

No, you don’t have to wear them as blinged out as the Givenchy gladiator sandals, but these styles are a little bit more daring. If you’ve already got the clean feet and the clean toenails, then gather some guts and give these men’s gladiator sandals a go. You never know, you might end up liking them.

On with the list!

#1 Bacco Bucci Frankie

Although the straps on these aren’t leather, they’re adjustable and can fit a range of feet widths. The strappy feature is the great thing about gladiator sandals! $154.95.

#2 Giovanni Marquez Fratelli

This sandal is essentially a slide, but the 5 straps categorize them as gladiators. At least you don’t have to mess with all the strap adjusting and buckling, you just slide these on and off. The off-center placement of the parallel shoe strap is a subtle yet interesting detail too. $69.95.

#3  Giovanni Marquez Vanni

This one’s probably the trendiest out of all the gladiators on this list. Still, except for the crisscrossing straps, it’s really not that much different from number 2. The studs and the tabs that attach the straps to the soles make this sandal more unique. $69.95.

These gladiators and more men’s designer sandals are available at Shoebuy.com.
