Jessica Alba Takes Out Her Miu Miu Specchio Sandals After a Year

Monday, June 14th, 2010

This picture of Jessica Alba wearing these white strappy gladiator sandals was taken nearly a year ago on July 24, 2009:

Jessica Alba out shopping in Beverly Hills on July 24, 2009

And these pictures of her wearing the same gladiator sandals again were taken just last Friday, on June 11, 2010:

Jessica Alba unloading a minivan and out and about in Beverly Hills on June 11, 2010

So this sort of proves that a-list celebrity Jessica Alba is just like us regular people: she wears clothes from her wardrobe more than once (wow!) and she unloads a van full of stuff without an army of assistants to help her.

Take note that I said “sort of”. The white gladiator sandals that Jessica Alba is wearing just for running errands and unloading a van is from Miu Miu and they cost over 500 dollars:

These sandals from the 2008 Miu Miu collection are not available anymore, but that’s what All Gladiator Sandals is here for. I found these three alternatives to the Miu Miu Specchio Sandals, all priced at $80 or less at Heels.com:

Kelsi Dagger Catarina, $79.19 (was $98.99)

N.Y.L.A. Hassan Sandal, $32.50 (was $64.99)

Kenneth Cole New York City Flat, $72.50 (was $144.99)

Other colors of these sandals are also available if white’s not your thing.

Caroline Sieber: Chanel and Louboutins at the 2011 Fall/Winter Paris Fashion Week

Thursday, April 1st, 2010

Here’s a lady I would like to work with for a day – Caroline Sieber. I love her style and the way she puts together looks that always seem to make it to the best dressed list.

Caroline Sieber (Chanel 2011 Fall/Winter Show, Paris Fashion Week)

Who is she? She’s no celebrity in case you’re wondering. She’s actually a stylist in London who dresses the rich and famous. Her effortlessly chic style has caught the attention of many, particularly Karl Lagerfeld, who has chosen her to become one of  Chanel’s brand ambassadors.

Here is a photo of her taken last March 9, during the 2011 Fall/Winter Paris Fashion Week.

Caroline Sieber (Chanel 2011 Fall/Winter Show, Paris Fashion Week)

I love how she paired the classic red Chanel suit with nude colored lace up gladiator Louboutins (the same pair worn by Kim Kardashian in this article).

The color of the sandals is soft enough to complement the red feminine outfit, but the gladiator silhouette tones down the look and gives it a tougher flavor.

Together, a form of balance is achieved – classic but trendy, feminine but tough, conventional but a little off-beat, and simple but complex.

Such is Caroline’s style philosophy. I read in an article about her once that she prefers to keep her style “balanced and not too put together”.

If you like this Caroline Sieber style and you have the extra cash to spend, buy the red Chanel and Louboutins. If you want the look for a lot less, here are my recommendations:
