Balmain Giuseppe Zanotti for Balmain Stretch Urban Gladiators

It’s been over a year since Balmain and Giuseppe Zanotti for Balmain came out with these gladiator sandals, but it’s proven to be quite the popular style because knockoffs are still coming out even up to now.

Take these Lorry Sandals from Type Z for instance:

These sandals are some of the newer arrivals of Type Z shoes at Zappos.com. They’re a little late coming out, but these are possibly the best knockoffs of the Balmains I have ever come across. I can’t even tell ‘em apart from the real thing!

The $100.00 for the Type Z Lorry Sandals is chump change compared to the $1,195 for the Balmains, but if you want to go even cheaper, check out these New Moon Sandal Booties from Dolce by Mojo Moxy:

Not the most exact copy, but for just half the price of the Type Zs, the differences can be overlooked. These sandals were $99.99 but they are now $50.00, 50% off, at 6pm.com.

Of course, you’re also free to purchase the Balmains themselves though sizes are severely limited. Sizes 38.5 and 40 for the Balmain Giuseppe Zanotti for Balmain Stretch Urban Gladiators are available; other sizes are wait-listed. They retail for $703.82 (down from $1,006.37) at MyTheresa.com.

I can’t get over how beautiful the Sergio Rossi gladiator sandals Selena Gomez wore to the 2010 Teen Choice Awards are:

Nevermind that Selena Gomez is dressed a bit too maturely for her age on the red carpet again. As Rachel Zoe would say, those Sergio Rossi gladiator sandals she’s wearing are just “buh-nanas”:

These sandals are part of the Sergio Rossi Fall 2010 collection. They’re adorned with studs and same-colored feathers as the sandals themselves. They’re not available online yet but even if they are, I’m very sure that these would be sooo out of budget. Right now, staring at their beauty is enough for me.

If you just absolutely need a pair of sandals in this style in your life right now, then the sand-colored Quest sandals from L.A.M.B. could work for you:

These are $236.00 at Zappos.com and they carry sizes 5.5 through 9.5. If you need a bigger size, Shopbop.com has them ’til size 10 although they list these sandals a bit more expensive at $295.00.

I hope these sandals would be popular enough for some other brand to make inexpensive knockoffs!

Let’s get to know Nicole’s sandals a little bit more, shall we?

The upper comes in an exquisite snake embossed leather.  Aside from being exotic, it also features a Lucite pyramid bar with gold hardware detailing on the T straps. Last but not least, it isn’t flat, there is a wedge heel of about half an inch.

Well, what do you think? I’m telling you, these looked interesting when we saw it on Nicole, but up close, the pair looks even more fabulous! Definitely so much more than I expected.
