In the mood for something strong and striking? I suggest you put the Pelle Moda Jahara Platform Sandals on your feet.

Pelle Moda Jahara Platform Sandals

These are what I am loving today – bold and beautiful sandals that are guaranteed to turn anyone’s head. Sky high and sexy 5-inch stacked heels, 1.25-inch thick platforms, and a fiercely fabulous plush leopard printed hair calf material make these shoes such a standout:

Miley Cyrus Grabs Some Sushi in Opening Ceremony Snakeskin Leather Sandals

I was hesitant to write about Miley Cyrus’s sandals here on All Gladiator Sandals because I thought they looked a little bit too simple to be gladiator sandals. I decided to go ahead and write about them anyway because Miley Cyrus’s pictures from that day are really pretty. Check ‘em out:

July 13, 2010 – Miley Cyrus leaves a sushi place in Studio City, CA after grabbing a bite to eat with boyfriend Liam Hemsworth

I just really like the lighting in these pictures. The way the photographer captured the setting afternoon sun is really flattering on Miley. I guess the paparazzi with all their hi-tech cameras, long lenses and other expensive equipment CAN get it right sometimes!

Let’s now go back to Miley’s sandals. They ARE a bit plain especially that Miley wore them without the sandal’s most interesting detail. Here are pictures of the sandal and the sandals on Miley and see how quickly you can spot what Miley took out from the sandals:

See it?

Yep, Miley took out the tassels on the zipper. Maybe they were bothersome but the sandals look better with them on IMHO.

Miley Cyrus’s sandals are the Opening Ceremony Snakeskin Leather Sandals. Get them for $212.00 (30% off the original price) at farfetch.com.

If you think they’re too plain as well, here are 2 center zip-up sandals that have more pizazz at just a fraction of the price of the Opening Ceremony sandals:

Luichiny Frank Lee, $32.50 (was $64.99)

Blowfish Courtesy, $52.16 (was $57.95)

If you love the plain and simple look anyway, here are 2 more options to choose from:

Naya Salida, $114.00

Tapeet by Vicini Y90064, $221.95 (was $450.00)

Jessica Simpson Adreana on Jessica Simpson

Check out this picture of recently-turned-30 Jessica Simpson. This was taken last month (June 23), when the singer/actress/entrepreneur was spotted arriving in LA.

Jessica Simpson

I have to say the outfit was really bad. Didn’t anybody tell her  that pairing cropped pants with gladiator sandals was a bad idea? The round neck T-shirt also didn’t help. Altogether, she looked a tad fat and a tad short in the whole thing.

Outfit aside, I’m writing this article because of her sandals. Apparently, Jess doesn’t mind wearing off season pieces from her own collection because the wedges on her feet are the Adreana Sandals, a pair released seasons ago.

It looks quite comfy, which probably explains why Jess still wears it. It is  also already sold out. I doubt if there is going to be a reissue, so the best you can do is actually go for a similar Jessica Simpson shoe style called the Gobow.

Not exactly a wedge, but the zipper detail is there. You can get it for US$64 at 6pm.com. In case you can’t find your size there, try Zappos.com.

On another note, if the wedge style is what you really want, you can go for these instead:

Steven Winka, US$179

Calvin Klein Elise, US$98
