Kate Bosworth was at LAX last Friday, September 3 to catch a flight out of the airport. Her destination isn’t known but I’m totally diggin’ the comfy outfit she wore for the mystery flight:

Love the loose red sweater and the rolled up slouchy jeans, and I especially love those two-tone gladiator sandals!

Kate Bosworth’s strappy gladiator sandals

Kate Bosworth’s sandals are the H by Hudson Lucilla Flat Strapped Sandals shown here in brown:

Kate Bosworth’s candids make the sandals look like they’re partially made out of canvas but as you can see in the product pictures above, they’re made entirely out of leather.

You can get these sandals at a whopping 64% off at Asos.com. Their original price was $160.08 and they’re now just $57.29! UK sizes 3 through 8 are still available so take advantage of the huge discount while there are still sizes left!

The Search for Kate Hudson’s Mystery Cutout Thong Sandals

Here’s a very casual looking Kate Hudson with her current boyfriend, Matthew Bellamy. There is actually nothing extra-ordinary about this picture until you look further down and notice her sandals.

Kate Hudson and Matthew Bellamy, out for breakfast, August 7

It got me curious the moment I saw it. I found the detailing at the front quite interesting. Here’s a closer look:

Kate’s sandals

What do you think? It looks very unique, not really something you would see often in stores.

I couldn’t find any information on it (perhaps you can help?), so I looked for the next best thing – a look-alike. It actually took me quite a good while to look for the pair. But I’m happy to have finally found one.

You can get the same look with the Cynthia Vincent Dalia Thong Flat Sandals. These are available at Bluefly.com for US$117:

Well, what do you think? Would you go for these Cynthia Vincent Dalia Sandals? Or do you still prefer Kate’s mystery pair?

Jean Paul Gaultier Kim Sandal Booties

True to his “enfant terrible” ways, Jean Paul Gaultier brings us another one of his bizarre yet oddly mesmerizing shoe creations:

This desirable, decadent and deranged pair of sandals is the Jean Paul Gaultier Kim.

Aside from being a sandal and bootie hybrid, it also appears to be a mix of a ballet shoe and gladiator sandal. I admit that it’s leaning more towards “ballet recital” than “gladiator arena”, but that’s mostly because it’s in a metallic light pink color than anything else. Try imagining it in black or brown and it’s practically the Jean Paul Gaultier Uma boots only in a more girly color.

I like looking at theĀ Jean Paul Gaultier Kims, but are you as stumped as I am about what to wear with these sandal booties? These shoes are meant to be seen so pants or anything that covers them up is a no, but short skirts with these would look too tarty and “ballet school reject”.

Would it be best to wear them with a similarly sweet dress, as a spicer-upper to an LND (little navy dress), or as part of a crazy-all-over ensemble? :

Rachel Pally Long Fortuna Dress, $246.00; Cynthia Steffe Amilly Dress, $323.00; Maisonette Bria Dress in Plum, $650.00

I’m sure there are tons more outfit ideas out there!

As for the Jean Paul Gaultier Kims, they’re $540.00, currently 50% off, at Zappos.com.
