Keeping herself busy with show-hopping at Paris Fashion Week, Rachel Bilson was spotted front row and center at the Chanel Spring 2011 RTW runway show held at the Grand Palais on October 5th.
Rachel Bilson wore a pastel-colored floral dress and carried a bright red quilted purse both from Chanel, and toughened them up with an AllSaints leather jacket and a pair of chunky platform gladiator sandal booties with lace-up corset ankle cuffs:

I see that Rachel Bilson was trying to achieve a contrast between the dress/purse and the jacket/shoes here, but they just all ended up looking mismatched.
The dress is young and girly while the purse, though ladylike, is too mature. The jacket is overpowering Rachel Bilson’s petite frame and the shoes are just too heavy in proportion to everything else. On top of all that, the dress’ and the purse’s colors clash, making the entire outfit look like a confusing combination instead of a harmonious mix.
That said, I actually don’t have any issues with Rachel Bilson’s shoes alone, by themselves and apart from everything else in that outfit (had to say it three different ways in case I hadn’t stressed that enough). They’re actually an interesting pair; they sort of look like a clog, sandal and bootie hybrid when viewed up close:
Oh and check out the straps – black satin ribbons! Sexy lace-up satin ribbons against chunky wooden platform soles and leather straps? Now THAT’S a contrast I like.
No name on Rachel Bilson’s gladiator platform sandal booties yet, but here are two SPLURGE and SAVE options I found. $1,075.00 vs. $117.05!
