In the Arena: Joe’s Jeans Unforgettable Wedge Sandals Vs. Jessica Simpson Tito Wedge Sandals

It’s been a while since we had a sandal showdown. This one today in particular is between two sandals that look very much like each other. So much like each other in fact, that for a minute I thought that I had two browser tabs open to the same shoe.

Here are the two gladiator wedge sandals that got me confused:

Joe’s Jeans Unforgettable Wedge Sandals

Jessica Simpson Tito Wedge Sandals

So am I right in getting them confused for each other or what? They have the same gathered straps, the same platform wedges, the same zip-up back heels, and even their straps’ crisscross patterns are nearly identical!

Their only difference is between their prices. The Joe’s Jeans Unforgettable Wedge Sandals are $220.00 while the Jessica Simpson Tito Wedge Sandals are over a hundred dollars cheaper at $119.00.

Given these two sandals that are practically carbon copies of each other, which one would you go for? The ones from Joe’s Jeans of the ones from Jessica Simpson?

The frugal side of me wants to answer “Jessica Simpson” but you know what, $119.00 is still pretty expensive for a pair of wedges. At these two shoes’ price points, is there really that much of a difference between them in terms of design and quality? Or are they already comparable?

In short, what I really want to know is: will paying an extra $100 for the Joe’s Jeans wedges give me more satisfaction than paying $100 less for the Jessica Simpson wedges?

I admit that I actually haven’t heard much about shoes from Joe’s Jeans so I really don’t know if they’re “quality” or not. Can anyone shed some light on this brand and if their shoes are worth their 200-dollar price tag?
