I Want Charlize Theron’s Dior Petal Sandals!

I’m a bit sad to hear that Charlize Theron and long time life partner, Stuart Townsend, have ended their nine year love affair.

I always thought they’d be the next Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn couple; you know, never married but will be together forever. I guess I was wrong.

With Stuart off the picture, Charlize has been seen attending events alone or with friends. Case in point, the Vogue and Dior sponsored celebration of her outreach project, The Charlize Theron African Outreach Project, held in West Hollywood last April 27.

As expected, Charlize looked stunning in Dior from head to toe. I especially love the exquisite Dior sandals she wore to the event – a fine and fresh creation with straps shaped like petals.

If you look at the sandals closely, there is a T present at the center, but gone are the horizontal straps; in place are curved cutout straps that follow the shape of flower petals – such a lovely pair; so spring appropriate; so feminine and sweet; and such a unique and novel take on the “glads”.

Knowing how much a pair of Dior sandals would cost, I tried to search for more affordable look alikes but found nothing even remotely close. I’m sure it will not take long for other brands to copy this Dior creation.
