Australian VJ Erin McNaught at the 2009 MTV Summer Party at the Hyde Park Barracks in Sydney, Australia
If the first thing you noticed about this picture of Erin McNaught was her lace-up grey sandals, then you’re really addicted to gladiator sandals. If the first thing you noticed was her hand, then congratulations, you’re a normal person!
I’m kidding of course, but if you’re really wondering why Erin’s hand is all bandaged up in this picture, let her Wikipedia page narrate the story:
On 24th November 2009, McNaught severed the index finger on her right hand in an accident as she was shooting a story for Cybershack. She fell from a dirt bike she was riding, and got her hand trapped in the bike’s spinning wheel. On 26th November 2009, it was reported that Erin had undergone emergency surgery to reattach the severed finger.
According to a recent update, Erin McNaught’s hand is now fine and “fully back to normal”.
Now, as for the interesting pair of sandals she’s wearing, Erin’s got on a variation of the famous Ann Demeulemeester lace-up sandals from the Spring 2009 RTW collection:

Anne Demeulemeester lace-up sandals as worn
The sandals alone are a standout, but I’m not a fan of the way Erin paired them with a black and gold striped shirt and a leopard print miniskirt. Just looking at the part goth part gladiator Anne Demeulemeester lace-up sandal is enough for me.
The real Ann Ds are priced well over a thousand dollars. Here’s a similar lace-up sandal in the cutout heel variation that costs significantly less:
The best part is that these lace-ups from Type Z are now only $81.50 when they were previously $95.00.
